Rewarded with industry recognition
Our year kicked off with a bang as we continued our US expansion, following tremendous growth and increasing demand in the region. Our efforts were soon recognised, with Data Zoo named a finalist for the 2023 RegTech of the Year – US Region Award, underscoring our commitment to the regtech industry and our role in shaping its future.
The accolades continued with Data Zoo winning Excellence in Establishing Global Market Presence and being nominated for Excellence in RegTech at The Finnies. We were also honoured to be nominated as finalists in the Software Innovation category at the InnovationAus Awards for the second year in a row – a fantastic celebration of our team’s hard work and innovative spirit.
Fuelled by innovation
It was a landmark year for product development at Data Zoo. We proudly unveiled The IDUX Ecosystem – our new narrative that removes complexity and makes it even easier for digital companies around the world to power modern identity experiences.
We also introduced our real-time and automated Know Your Business (KYB) solution and AI-powered Document Authentication technology, marking significant strides in our mission to provide secure and seamless onboarding experiences.
Moreover, the official US approval of our patent, "Method for Electronic Identity Verification and Management”, highlights our commitment to enhancing digital identity efficiency and security, a vision and patent passionately shared by our Chief Executive Officer, Tony Fitzgibbon, and Chief Compliance & Innovation Officer, Dr. Memoona Anwar.
Unwavering dedication to compliance
At Data Zoo, we place immense value on compliance, not just as a standard but as the cornerstone of our operations. We proudly upheld rigorous compliance standards via our products, infrastructure, and procedures, achieving our CSA Star Attestation, SOC 2 Type 2 Attestation, and ASAE 3150 Report again this year.
We pride ourselves on putting our privacy, security and compliance to the test year after year. This year, we undertook an extensive independent third-party audit of our technology and security processes. This led to Data Zoo becoming a certified identity service provider (IDSP) under the UK Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework (UKDIATF), further cementing our role as a trusted provider of secure digital identity solutions.
Our comprehensive approach also extended beyond privacy and security to encompass environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, a certification we proudly attained this year.
Team efforts drove our global impact
The driving force behind our 2023 success story is undoubtedly our incredible team. This year, we welcomed 17 new team members across the globe, from Sydney to Singapore and Amsterdam to San Diego, each bringing a wealth of expertise to Data Zoo.
We solidified our footprint on the global stage. The Data Zoo green could be spotted across the globe at industry-leading events, such as the Singapore Fintech Festival, Money20/20 in Las Vegas and Amsterdam, Fintech Nexus in New York, and ICE Gaming and Fintech Connect in London.
Amidst these milestones, we focused inward, prioritising our team’s wellbeing by introducing our 'Data Zoo Day Off'. This quarterly day off aims to make space for our team to recharge and reconnect with what matters most to them.
